The Haute Savoie region
of the French Alps is one of the most popular ski holiday destinations in
Europe. Whether you are an expert skier or if this is the first time you
have considered a ski holiday there are plenty of ski resorts in the French
Alps to choose from.
The most popular ski resort is at Chamonix, and we can take you there if
you like. However, there are some resorts such as Aillon le Jeune a few kilometers from our base
on the Savoie / Haute Savoie border which are less crowded than Chamonix
and which are popular with the French. So if you prefer less crowds, hassle,
or queuing, then this could be best for you. It is also less expensive to
ski at Aillon le Jeune.
Our home base is also much quieter than the large resorts. It is in a small
village in the Bauge National Park area of the French Alps, so if you want
a bit of peace and quiet after a hard day on the slopes it is ideal.
The cost of passes and equipment hire is not included in your holiday. However
we can take you to the slopes and bring you back free of charge. If you
require an instructor we should be able to arrange this for an extra charge
if you give us enough advanced notice. Snowboarding
is also possible.
