Lescheraines is a small village in the Bauges National Park in the French
Alps. It is right near the Savoie / Haute Savoie border between Aix les
Bains and Annecy. The village is a typical Savoyard village with country
style houses, amenities such as shop, post office, church, boulangerie,
pub, restaurants etc in a peaceful country setting. There is a small stream
and some nearby lakes (pictured below) which are used for swimming, fishing (including carp and trout), and relaxation.
As with many parts of the French Alps countryside there is no bus service
to the village, however it is easily accessible by car and is very convenient
for Annecy, Aix
les Bains, Rumilly, and Chambery. If you prefer to stay around the village
there are walks and cycle routes which you can try, as well as some restaurants
and a campsite with various activities which is open to the public. However,
if you want to venture out and explore the rest of the French
Alps then we will be happy to help you.
