| Chamonix
is a small pictureque town in the Haute Savoie region of France, and is situated
in the French Alps. For years it has been a favourite holiday destination of the French, and foreigners alike with its picturesque streets,and beautiful mountains. Chamonix is at the base of Mont Blanc, which is not only the highest mountain in the Haute Savoie region of France, but is also the highest mountain in Europe. A cable car at Chamonix allows easy access to the upper reaches of Mont Blanc.  |
